Subject: Lock 16 - 12 hour closure
ITCS Memo # 1768

Lock 16 will be closed for up to 12 hours beginning 0700 on 6/27/01 to replace a lower land wall gate sector gear bushing. A short closure is expected after repairs are complete this weekend, in order to reconnect the gate swing arm. While repairs are being made-a Corp. of Engineers tug will open and close the gate and pull the “first cut” of all “down bound” traffic.
