Subject: Status report UM mile 306.9 to 312.5
ITCS Memo # 1778

The pilot channel at UM mile 312.5 has been buoyed and N/B test tows have begun. Early reports indicate the pilot channel should be able to accommodate full size tows both N/B and S/B. If all continues to go well, the river closure for UM mile 305 to 312 should be canceled tonight and traffic can resume as normal.
