Subject: Low water advisory & lock 15 closure
ITCS Memo # 1785

Due to the current river conditions and forecast, RIAC advises 10-ft. drafts from St. Louis to Cairo. We are monitoring conditions and as river conditions change we will up-date the advisory.

It is estimated that the main chamber at Lock 15 mile 483 UMR will be closed for 7 days to replace the anchors on the lower miter gates. In order to speed up the self-help process, RIAC recommends that tow sizes not exceed 15 barges.
