Subject: Dredging schedule for St. Louis District
ITCS Memo # 1792

Dredging Operations are underway in the St. Louis District from Upper Mississippi River 0 - 300.  When approaching dredging operations Mariners are urged to use extreme caution in the area.  Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimized wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.  Mariners should be on the look out for dredge floating pipeline which extend great distances away from the dredge and may cause a hazard.   It is anticipated that dredging operations will continue through December 2001.

The Dredge Hurley is starting dredging operations near UMR 130 today.  Estimate completion on 27 August.  Next dredging location will be in the vicinity of UMR 4, Greenfield Bend.  The Dredge Hurley can be contacted on channels 13 and 16 for passing arrangements or further information.

The Dredge America is continuing it's work near UMR 225, Bolters Bar.  Estimate completion on 27 August.  Next dredging location will be in the vicinity of UMR 253, Tisdel Towhead.   The Dredge America can be contacted on channel 81 for passing arrangements or further information
