The contract for the lock wall major rehabilitation, Lock & Dam 24 has been awarded and the following closure schedule will be utilized.

Lock Closure Starting Date Duration

1st closure winter 2002 January 2, 2002 60 days
2nd closure winter 02-03 December 15, 2002 90 days
3rd closure winter 03-04 December 15, 2003 90 days
