ITCS Memo # 2182

The Dredge America will perform dredging operations at the Upper Chain of Rocks Canal entrance, mile 194 UMR, and the Lower Chain of Rocks Canal entrance, mile 184, from Friday October 1, 2004 thru Tuesday, October 12, 2004. Due the channel size the river will be closed during dredging operations with two openings per day to allow traffic to pass. Lock 27 will control lockages to expedite movement of Tows thru the area. If needed, The Dredge America can be contacted on channel 13 or 16.

1 October - 7 October
Dredge America working at Mile 194 UMR
River closed for dredging 8 am to 4 pm.
River open for navigation 4 pm to 8 pm.
River closed for dredging 8 pm to 4 am.
River open for navigation 4 am to 8 am.

8 October - 12 October
Dredge America working at Mile 184 UMR
River closed for dredging 8 am to 4 pm.
River open for navigation 4 pm to 8 pm.
River closed for dredging 8 pm to 4 am.
River open for navigation 4 am to 8 am.
