NOTICE TO NAVIGATION INTERESTS

Melvin Price Locks and Dam, Mississippi River,

UMR Mile 200.8

1. All navigation interests are advised that the St. Louis District has scheduled a lock closure for the main lock chamber at Melvin Price Locks and Dam for repairs to miter gate machinery.

2. The main lock chamber will be closed from 0600 hours until 1800 hours on 25 & 26 April 2005. Chamber will be open to traffic over night. If repairs are not completed during these two days the chamber will close again at 0600 hours until work is completed (not to exceed 1800 hours) 27 April 2005.

3. During the times that the main lock chamber is closed, there will be no traffic passed as the auxiliary lock chamber is currently closed due to damages to the downstream miter gates.
