Les Grimm reports that the reach above Lock #53 has been rebuoyed. A green
buoy has been added and several greens have been moved channelward. All of
the red buoys have been move in channelward. The red buoys are now set in
11 feet of water with 16.1 on the Dam 53 guage. The average depth
mid-channel is 13 feet.
The Ice Committee recommends not tieing off or waiting on the upper floats
above the lock due to the restricted channel. Also - no meeting or passing
in this reach, maximum tow width 108' wide.
