Mel Price Locks, Upper Mississippi River Mile 200.5

1.All navigation interests are advised the main lock chamber at Melvin Price Locks and Dam will re-open to all traffic at 1400 hours on 25 June 2007.

2. Planned work including replacement of the lift gate cables, repair of the miter gates, and installation of new AC lift gate motor drives will be completed 8 days ahead of the schedule originally announced.

3. The auxiliary lock chamber will remain open for the duration of the
main lock closure. Damage to the MO side lower miter gate protection timbers has occurred due to allisions during this closure. Northbound tows are advised to exercise caution approaching the lock and to align flat on the lower guide wall prior to entering the chamber.
