ITCS Memo # 2568

The river will be closed to all traffic from 0600 to 2000 local time 27 July 2007 at MM 1 UMR, due to salvage operations in the vicinity of the Cairo HWY Bridge. The river will then reopen to pass waiting traffic. Depending on the progress of the salvage operation, another closure may be required on 28 July 2007.
The M/V Stephen Foster will handle traffic control on scene. All vessels should contact the M/V Stephen Foster on channel VHF-FM 13 or 16 for passing instructions and further information.
