SPECIAL NOTICE TO NAVIGATION INTERESTS

Due to the collapse of the I-35W Bridge at UMR mile 853.2, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) has established a temporary safety zone from mile marker 847.0 to 854.0 UMR until further notice. Entry into the zone is prohibited to all vessels and persons unless specifically authorized by USCG Captain of the Port. Vessels requiring entry are
to contact Coast Guard Sector Upper Mississippi River command center on VHF-FM channel 16 or via telephone at (314)269-2332.

This safety zone includes the following U.S. Corps of Engineers locks and dams:

Upper St. Anthony Falls (USAF), UMR mile 853.8

Lower St. Anthony Falls (LSAF), UMR mile 853.4

Lock and Dam 1, UMR mile 847.6

For the duration of this safety zone, the Corps of Engineers will only lock vessels at the above locks, that have been granted entry to the zone by the USCG.
