Lock closures on the UMR

LOCK NO. 11, UMR Mile 583 - In preparation for the winter rehab the lock will be closed to all navigation for approximately 12-hours on 15 October 2007. This closure is required in order to pull the service gate. This winter’s closure is scheduled from 15 December 07 until 15 March 2008.

LOCK NO. 19, UMR 364 – Two closures (One–eight hour closure and one-twelve hour) are planned during the first two-weeks of November 2007.
This winter’s closure is scheduled from 15 December 2007 until 11 March 2008.
Four-consecutive 12-hour closures are scheduled between 22 April 2008 and 1 May 2008.
