ITCS Memo # 2603

Lock and Dam No. 11, UMR Mile 583.0, will be closed to all navigation from 0800 to 1600 on Tuesday, 13 November 2007 and Wednesday, 14 November 2007. The purpose of these closures is for divers to clean and inspect the downstream lock sill area. Also, the downstream sill beam will be set in place along with one lock chamber bulkhead.
This work is necessary prior to the dewatering closure this winter.
Towboat operators are requested NOT to tie up on the guidewalls during this closure period.
