The contractor will begin removing concrete on the upper and lower intermediate wall beginning 7 December 2007 (instead of 10 December 2007) in preparation of the winter closure that begins on Saturday, 15 December 2007.
The vertical resurfacing concrete removal limits will be the top of the intermediate wall to the water line elevation.

During this time the lock will still be open to navigation. A helper boat will be available to assist towboat operators as necessary. Mariners should contact the lock on channel 14 for more information while transiting this area.
