Subject: Lower ILWW drawbridges
ITCS Memo # 2616

The status of the lower ILWW drawbridges as of 1600, 12/9/07 is as follows:

1. Hardin, Mi 21.6 - closed due to electrical problems and ice; crew onscene working to restore power
2. Pearl, Mi 43.2 - operable
3. Florence, Mi 56 - cannot open due to weight of ice on bridge .5 - .75 in
4. Valley City RR D/B, 61.4 - cannot open due to weight of ice on bridge
5. Beardstown RR D/B - cannot open due to weight of ice on bridge; cannot run trains either.

Crews are trying to knock ice off to lessen the weight so the bridges can open. This problem will last until the ice can be removed and weight lessened.
