From Mr. Bill Gretten ..............

The NESP team would like to meet with the towing industry to discuss the direction of the NESP program now that WRDA has passed. We have scheduled a meeting to take place from 1 to 4 PM on Monday January 14 in the Great River Museum Room at Mel Price Locks and Dam in Alton, IL.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the first increment plan and alternative funding conditions for the navigation portion of NESP.

Items to be discussed include the size of NESP, funding, projects, team leaders, challenges, tools, communications, strategy, alternative funding, and impacts to navigation. We would like to get as much industry participation as possible in order to get your input and insure that priorities and direction are correct.

Please pass this invitation on to as much of the industry as possible and let us know approximately how many folks you expect.
