Very heavy widespread rainfall in excess of 2 inches occurred over a large portion of the ILL River basin from last night through early this morning. Many tributaries as well as mainstream locations will experience moderate to major flooding during the next week.

Zones 9, 11, & 12 (La Salle, Dresden and Brandon) are in the watch phase.

Zones 7 & 8 (Peoria and Henry) are expected to enter into the watch phase by Jan 11.

The Kankakee River is still rising and portions are not expected to crest for a few days.
