Subject: MILE 840.5 - MILE 839.5 UMR - FIREWORKS DISPLAY/RIVER CLOSURE

Commencing July 2, 2009 and continuing until July 6, 2009, from 10:00 p.m. until 10:40 p.m., each day, the Taste of Minnesota Fireworks Display will be held between approximate Miles 840.5 and 839.5. The COTP Upper Mississippi River has issued a Safety Zone and has closed the river for this event (fireworks). Associated with the Taste of Minnesota is music and associated festivals. Mariners are urged to use extreme caution when
transiting the area.
